anyway when Levi touched her cheek.

“The things you say to me.”

“That’s true, I’m an infidel, but one who loves you very

  much.”

“Do you mean it?” Yasmine combed her hair back and

  kissed her again.

“You know I do. I heard from Ibrahim. He said a small

crew can deliver everything we want.” She kissed Yasmine

again and slipped her hand up her leg. “Are you sure you don’t

  want to honeymoon somewhere else?”

“I want to find them and give them peace, even if that

means leaving them where they lie.”

They were leaving after their ceremony to spend a few

weeks back in the Sahara. If they found the branch of serenity

on the tree of life, they would also find André and Farah. It

was probably only their graves, but you never knew. There

might be one more secret Farah had decided to hide that would

lead them to the rest of the Templar treasure.

“Will you read it to me one more time?”

Yasmine reached for the translation she’d done of Farah’s

account of the day she married André. The next day they set

off for France, but they’d had that one night under the stars.

The way Farah weaved the story of how happy they were

made Yasmine wish time would speed up so she could start

  her life as Levi’s wife.

“I can’t wait to speak the words and for you to claim what

belongs to you,” she said. “Her prayers were answered. I have

found what she did, and it isn’t wrong.”

“There’s never going to be anyone else, love, and I can’t

wait to find all the treasures still out there.” Levi stood with

Yasmine in her arms and carried her back upstairs. “Whatever

comes next, I can’t wait to share it with you.”

“I know exactly what comes next, my darling, and it’s not

the kind of thing I’ll ever write about,” Yasmine teased.

“Not even if I give you incentive?” Levi laid Yasmine on

  the bed and smiled.

“Forget the scrolls and stories and make love to me.”

  “That I can do.”
