I fell for Provence ten years ago, when I took my first steps towards a long-held dream to learn to speak French before I die and spent a month at a language immersion school in the South of France. The first time I walked down the cobbled streets of a medieval French village, I knew I’d found the home of my soul. Two years later I packed up my life in New Zealand and moved to Vence where I lived for the next three years.
Falling for Provence is a book of the heart, written with the hope of capturing the magic that made me fall so completely in love with this part of France. To be able to share it is a privilege and I would like to acknowledge and thank everyone involved.
