For new readers, this book should have totally worked on its own, because it happens years before the Ex Heroes and Ex Gods books. The ending might not feel like a wholly complete conclusion, and here’s why—a lot of the stuff you saw here will come back to play in the Supers Universe (which so far consists of Ex Heroes, Ex Gods, and Psychobitches, with Planet Kill being somewhat connected). You meet some of these characters again in books 1 of those series, and you will see some others show up in Ex Heroes 4 and others. So… Get ready, and hurry and catch up on the reading if you haven’t yet!
