Acknowledgments
I had a weird idea while I was working at camp one summer. Seven years later, thanks to the help and support of so many incredible people, I finally get to see that idea become a real-life book.
It never would have been possible without my agent, Emmy—they were the first person to take a chance on me, and I am forever grateful for the opportunity they gave me. I also owe a huge thanks to my publisher, Robert J. Peterson, for helping me polish this story, and to Dale Halvorsen for a brilliant cover.
This book is really for everyone who supported and inspired me throughout this long process. For my friends who never stopped encouraging me. For my parents, who met at summer camp. And, of course, for that camp, and everyone I’ve spent my summers with there.
Above all, thanks to my husband, Maciek, who has always kept me hopeful, and who never complained when I kept the light on in our one-room apartment to stay up writing all night.
