Going Deep With Aby,
p.3
“Yeah, that would be a hell no.” I crawled into bed next to Aby and as soon as my head hit the pillow (some sort of sponge), the top of the shell closed over us, the blue, neon color washing over us. We were closed off from the world.
“So far so good?” Aby asked.
“Yeah, I believe so. Just a lot weird shit happening.”
“Will you make love to me, Seth?”
“You never have to ask,” I said. “Never.” I raised her hand and kissed the soft skin above her knuckles. Laying on my side, I can my fingers around her breasts, teasing, Aby a temptress I could never say no to.
I leaned closer, licking her dark nipple, my fingers caressing the dark aureole. Aby closed her eyes and laid a hand against the back of my head, her fingers combing through my hair. I sucked hard on her nipple and her fingers closed tightly. I moved over her, taking the other nipple into my mouth, sucking and biting. She moaned beneath my touch, her hand reaching for my cock, urgently guiding it between her legs.
I kissed her neck and ears, turning her head to the side, her silky skin delicious. Make love to a mermaid? The though made me smile.
“Something funny?” Aby asked.
“Still trying to believe what I'm seeing and doing.” I kissed between her breasts and down her stomach, lingering around the dip around her navel. She trembled and moaned against my touch, her hand finding my head once again as I continued over her pubis, smooth and bare and delectable.
I moved my hands under Aby’s ass and raised her to my mouth, devouring the top of her slit, poking her clit with the tip of my tongue.
“Stay with me,” she pleaded.
I licked around her labia, spreading her apart with my tongue, firmly rising up to her clit.
Aby moved one hand behind her head and used the other to spread her pussy. I kissed her fingers, sucking them, craving her hole. I slipped a finger inside her, waiting for her to accept my intrusion, then moving in another finger, stroking her, making her writhe.
I whispered her name as she came, her eyes closed, her jaws clenched, her free hand grasping the sheet. She opened her eyes and moved her hand beneath my chin, pulling me up to her. Without even thinking, my cock pushed against her closed lips, opening her wet hole. I slid in slow and steady, making sure she enjoyed every inch. What had started out as a disaster above the water, the day was ending decadently, fervently.
Aby grabbed my ass and pulled me against her. She’d watched me make love that night on the boat, the thought of having given her a show back then a turn on now. I slowed as I came, pulling out a bit at a time, leaving behind a trail of juices.
I laid next to Aby and moved to my side, pulled her ass to me, draping my arm over her, my hand resting against her breast. I caressed her gently, allowing her warm body to press back against me. I let her fall asleep, wondering what dreams a mermaid could have. Mermaid? The thought made me shake my head.
I’d lost track of time but guessed we woke hours later. Beneath the sea, time didn’t exist. No sun or moon or day or night. It was as I were on another planet.
Aby raised the top of the shell and I noticed the color of the walls had changed.
“The walls are covered in extracts from fluorescent ocean plants. As the room’s temperature changes so does the color and pigment of the room.” She climbed from bed poured us drink. She brought it back and swore it was the best thing I ever had.
“You’ve enjoyed so far?”
I nodded. “But I think I’ll need more convincing to make a decision.” Since she had the ability to read my mind there was no need to hide anything. Swim around in the water, no stress or pressures of the world? Who wouldn’t want that change?” But I’d spent a lifetime trying to hone my baseball skills. I’d moved to elite status, and a very large contract. I had the world in the palm of my hand and she wanted me to return it.
We finished our drinks and I followed Aby back to the main cavern where people were hurriedly preparing for meal. The table held a variety of raw and cooked fish and plants. None of it looked appetizing to a man who’d been living off burgers, steaks and pizza. Aby and I sat next to her father. Sebastian sat across from me.
“Aby has requested we allow you to live among our race,” the king said.
I looked down the full table and then at Sebastian. The others ignored me. Sebastian wanted to send me to the sharks.
I placed my hand on Aby’s leg and squeezed.
“If he’s going to be living among our people, he needs to understand our ways and take care of community,” Sebastian said. Nothing good was going to come from the man.
Aby started to protest but her father raised his hand. “Sebastian is right. Seth needs to prove he is capable of living among us.” He turned to me. “After meal, you’ll joining Sebastian and the others. They will show you the way we live.”
We spent the entire meal discussing the world above and the land dwellers, myself included. I tried to explain baseball and received odd looks in exchange. Except for Sebastian. He went a step further and told me it sounded like a foolish game. I asked if he were more interested in synchronized swimming and he only stared.
After meal, naked like everyone else, I followed Sebastian and two other men to the lagoon I’d originally come from.
We dove into the water and I followed the three mermen, occasionally glancing back at my moving fin. We swam into a tunnel and stopped. Sebastian ordered the two men to follow one passage, he and I would follow another.
Moments later, Sebastian and I broke the water’s surface and found ourselves in a small cavern no large than a house. I followed him out of the water.
“She belongs to me,” Sebastian said. “I don’t care what her or the king believe.”
“You brought me all the way out here to tell me that?”
Something moved in the shadow of the cave.
Sebastian, expecting the creature, dove back into the water as the tentacle found my legs, dropping me to the ground and pulling me into the darkness. As I was being dragged, I managed to grab a sharp rock.
The creature cried out when I slashed its tentacle, slicing it in half. I staggered to my feet and almost made it to the water, seeing Sebastian’s face just below the surface. A second tentacle lashed out and grabbed me by the waist.
I found myself being hoisted into the air and then dropped to the ground. I grabbed the same rock and wailed away at the second tentacle, slicing it in half. Then the creature appeared from the shadows, a creature I’d never seen before. The creature initially looked like a squid but as it grew closer, I realized it was something drastically different.
Another tentacle came at me. I managed to dodge the slimy appendage. As it swiped by it knocked away a four-foot-long stalagmite from the ceiling. I grabbed the hefty piece of rock and waited for the creature to come at me again. When the tentacle missed, I raced forward, impaling the creature in what I hoped was its brain.
The creature squealed in pain and retreated. Spent, I stood there looking into the darkness. Sebastian had brought me out to die. I turned to the water. He was gone.
I sat on the rocky ledge and dangled my feet into the water, watching my legs change forms. If I stayed, Sebastian would be a permanent thorn in my side. If I left, I would never see Aby again. How the hell I’d so easily fallen in love with her I had no idea.
I slid into the water and navigated through the tunnels still in awe of my ability to breathe underwater. Along with the fin appearing so did the gills on my sides.
Once I escaped the tunnels, I looked toward the surface, the sun beating down on the water. The hull of a boat passed over. I glanced back toward the depths where Ady waited in Cliffden Deep. Where Sebastian waited. No matter what I decided, someone would be hurt, as do most life’s decisions. It was a matter of who would be hurt the most.
Regardless of my decision, I needed to at least say goodbye to Aby. Explain my reason for leaving. But there was more than baseball at stake. A world of happiness, possibly, awaited me below. I reminded myself Sebastian tried to kill me. The man needed to pay regardless of my decision.
Like a bullet from a gun, I shot through the water toward the light beyond the darkness below. I emerged from the lagoon, my legs changing as I went airborne, landing on my feet in front of Aby, the king, and the two mermen who had accompanied us. Everyone but Aby looked horrified.
“Your skin,” Aby said and ran her stomach over my stomach, A dozen red circles marked my skin.
“Where’s Sebastian?” I asked. The king and the two men stepped aside, allowing me to see Sebastian.
“He’s dead,” Aby said.
“What happened?” I remembered seeing the smirk on his face when he thought I was going to die.
The king moved next to me. “When he left you with an Old One, he didn’t know the second Old One had left the cave. It attacked him as he left you behind. His death is unfortunate but yours would have been more unfortunate.” He placed a hand on my shoulder. “I hope you will decide to stay with our people.” The two men lifted Sebastian from the rock and the king followed them into the water.
“We need to take care of your skin,” Aby said.
We travelled back through the tunnels to her room, me still in awe of the brilliant colors lining the walls, having gotten over the fact everyone walked around naked. It didn’t seem to bother the community and I completely enjoyed seeing Aby’s body, her curvy hips and nice breasts.
“So what the hell was the thing that attacked me?”
Aby dipped her hand in the pool of water and splashed it across my stomach. The red circles faded and then disappeared. “They are called the Old Ones. Creatures that were here long before the Mer-community or humans. Some think the creatures come from beyond the stars. They are the only predator to the Mer-community.”
“I think you have one less,” I said. “It took a rock through the brain.”
Aby splashed water across my back and the burning sensation ceased. “There are many others. Spread across the oceans all around the world. Sebastian's own jealousy is what killed him.”
“You don’t sound too concerned. He was one of your leaders.”
Aby slipped her hand around mine and we returned to the bed. She closed the top. “He took life for granted,” she said. “We have always been simple. Which is why we live for hundreds of your years.” She turned on her side, staring at me. “Close your eyes, Seth.”
I frowned and then did as she asked.
It started at my feet. Wet and cool, but not water. Thick, like oil. But I kept my eyes closed like Aby requested. It closed around us, filling the shell.
“Trust me,” Aby whispered. “Trust me and join me on a journey.”
Her voice became muffled and her body grew still.
The liquid moved over my chest and quickly encompassed my body and head. At first, I felt claustrophobic, as if the entire world was smashing down on me. But then I heard Aby’s tender voice in my mind, telling me to relax, remain calm, let the journey begin.
Everything seemed to stop, even Aby’s voice in my head. “Open your eyes,” she said.
I opened my eyes and stared in disbelief. I reached through the colorful, gel-like substance, the two of us suspended like puppets. I moved my arms as if swimming. Working my way to Aby, her immaculate body covered in brilliant colors of the sea.
Gel parted as we grew closer, our hands coming together, our bodies floating as if in space. Sea life moved around us: sharks, fish of all kinds, dolphins and whales, all to watch the tryst between two creatures neither human nor fish.
Aby wrapped her legs around my waist and I entered her, our incredible adventure together expanding into breathtaking scenes of wistful ecstasy. I raised her hands above her head, driving my cock between her legs, our bodies moving helplessly through glimmers of blue and green and teal.
We spiral through the gel as we made love, our bodies contorting but never changing Aby pulled away and swam around. I followed, her body and beauty beckoning me. Moving behind her. I raised her arms once again above her head, my hands sliding through gel along her breasts and nipples.
I entered Aby from behind and as I did, we began to swim as one, my thrusts propelling us through the glimmering fantasy. It felt rapturous inside her, as if our two worlds had collided with this single purpose.
Together, we moved like gymnasts, our bodies obsessed with one another, our minds in perfect harmony. She pulled away once more and I followed, the two of us rising higher, hitting the teal rays of sunlight bending through the water and gel.
We broke the water’s surface, coming together once more, Aby’s arms around my neck, our lips as one. I opened my eyes and saw the boat we left behind. In the distance, the whirr of a helicopter grew closer.
“It’s time to decide,” Aby said. “You know I want you to stay. But I also know you have a dream you are following. You have everything you could ever want as a land dweller.”
Life is never easy. Choices had to be made and regardless of decision, there would be consequences. Leave my world for hers? Leave everything I knew and everything I had? I was once told you should make a decision and never look back.
I looked to the west and could the Coast Guard helicopter approaching.
“I have to go,” Aby said. She ran her hands along my face and kissed me, her eyes magnificent jewels. “I love you, Seth.” Her words ended there, her fin slapping at the surface as she plunged into the darkness.
“Seth!”
I glanced up at the helicopter hovering overhead. Two men watched from the open cargo door, waving at me. None of it could be true. But I needed to take a chance in life. Move away from all that I knew to be true. I glanced back at the two men and then dove threw the dark waters, desperately searching for Aby.
Gel surrounded me once again and then I felt a hand in mine. Aby backed into me, my chest pressing firmly against her back, her black her rest against my shoulder, her dark eyes finding mine as we swam the deep together.
