“Proud of you, David.”
He peeked up at her, a soft smile just visible on his lips.
“Why?”
She shrugged and stood, repositioning herself to straddle him.
She nuzzled his nose.
“I can only imagine what it must take for you to even consider talking to your grandfather again.” She kissed him.
“And I know it took a lot to ask me how I felt about our staying in the same city as him.”
She kissed him again and felt his hands land upon her hips.
“I promised I wouldn’t be dumb, anymore, remember,” he said, huskily, against her lips.
She caught her bottom lip between her teeth.
“And you should be rewarded for that, shouldn’t you?” she asked, grinning. “Matter of fact, Husband, I believe you should be rewarded for a lot of things.”
He lifted his hips, holding her against him.
She moaned, her head falling back and she pressed herself against him, bringing her eyes back around to meet his unwavering gaze.
“I wanna see how many different sounds you can get out of me in the next hour.” She ground against him, eliciting a short, satisfying groan from his lips. “Can you keep count, David?”
He reached for the hem of her gown.
“Challenge accepted,” he growled.
