Tool,

“What do you mean by that?”
I tell him, sparing no detail.
“He really had your head buried in the cushions?”
“He did.”
“So he is a tool?”
“He’s not. Really, he’s not. There’s so much more to him. I found out he reads Robert Riley books, he knows trigonometry, and he has a degree in chemistry. Just because he has a lot of muscle doesn’t mean he’s a tool.”
Marcus laughs at me. “Sounds like you enjoyed his tool three times since yesterday.”
I laugh. “I did. His libido is unstoppable. A man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do. He’s a dragon and I’m his slayer.”
Marcus rolls his eyes at me. “Is he really nine inches long?”
“Yes.”‘
“And two inches thick?”
“Yes. He’s huge. It hurt like a motherfucker, but I loved every second of it.”
“No wonder you wanted him to fuck you. Hell, I want him to fuck me.”
I roll my eyes and warn him, “Find your own man. Leave Mike alone. He’s mine.”
“You’re calling him Mike now?”
“Because that’s his name.”
“Because he’s had his huge dick in you three times? How appropriate.”
“Stop,” I say to him. “You’re awful.”
“And funny.” He turns on his knight/dragon game, settles in front of the flat-screen. “Did you tell him you love him?”
“I did.”
“Before or after he fucked you?”
“Does it matter?”
“Of course it does.”
“It was before. What’s the difference?”
“Because if you told him afterwards, it’s just corny and it’s like saying thank you for banging me with my head in the sofa, pal. But if it was before, then it’s like saying, this is real, and serious. It’s like saying I want to be your lover and boyfriend.”
“So it’s serious.”
“Sounds like it.”
“Do you think it’s still a mistake to be with him?” I ask, dripping wet, needing to get ready to meet Mike next door in less than five minutes.
Marcus looks up at me and smiles. He must see the concern on my face because he stands, walks to me, and collects my cheeks in his palms. He rubs his nose against my nose. “What do you think?”
“I think our walls have been torn down and we’re both into each other. I think we’re still getting to know each other and he has already fallen in love with me, and vice versa. I know I like spending time with him, and everything about him. And he did tell me that he doesn’t intend to move back to Phoenix. That’s how hooked he is on me.”
“Then it sounds like you have your answer, Lance. You make a good case. You have a boyfriend on your hands. He’s your lover. And you might have a match made in heaven with this guy. He could end up being your husband someday.”
“He might,” I tell him.
“Only time will tell,” he says, pulls away from me, and heads back to his game and the floor.
“True that. But it feels pretty solid, if you want me to be honest,” I say, smiling from ear to ear, feel an electric jump in my chest, and between my legs, and rush out of my house, toward a special someone who pulls at my heartstrings, and more…Someone who won’t get away from me, and will always be mine.
