Archmage Tolston - One of only two known legendary figures in all of Taleian, meaning that his level is over 20. He is the headmaster of the Imperial University.
Camille Westfork (Cami) - She is the secondary protagonist and bonded companion of Nico. She gains magical power when his magic awakens in front of her.
Cassandra - Instructor of Alchemy at the university.
City of the Dawn - Also called the imperial city. This is the home of the emperor and the largest city in the empire. It is in the center of the continent of Taleian.
Daggin - Half-dwarven blacksmith and former adventurer, he follows Nico and Cami to Urgoi Isle to set up a shop and teach Cami about elemental blacksmithing.
Depot - Port city on northern coast of the inner sea
Hepha - Goddess of crafts, one of the 12 gods of Ileria, although we have not seen her yet.
Ileria- The name of the world the story is set on. Currently it is all taking place on the continent of Taleian.
Liam Halfroot - A half-elf ranger who is part of the adventurer team led by Serius.
Lisella Forlay - Daughter of a duke and niece to the King of Forlay. She is third in line for the throne as well as being one of three grand priestesses of Miseria, goddess of healing. She is also the other person, besides Modessa who may have been the fastest to reach level twenty.
Mal’zek - God of beasts, one of the 12 gods of Ileria and a signatory to the Pact.
Miseria - Goddess of healing, one of the 12 god of Ileria and a signatory to the Pact.
Nan’sedoh – Oni and an ice wizard, he comes out of stasis with a small force of ogres, trolls, and were-tiger rogues. They are the sworn enemies of dragons but are unaware of the circumstances in the world now.
Nicosandumas - The protagonist, a blue dragon cursed with more curiosity than most of his kind. In today’s terms we might call him neurodivergent. Curiosity and his draconic arrogance can make for an awkward situation.
Nilarue - Lord of the sky and forger of courage, one of the 12 gods of Ileria and a signatory to the Pact.
Reegor - Son of Baelin, son of Markim. He is a human barbarian who appears in one of Nico’s Dragon Dreams.
Rizal Atreides – A Human Storm Weaver and storm mage tutor for Nico.
Serius Graves - Grand magus, professor at the Imperial Academy, adventurer, and agent of the emperor. He is the leader of the adventurers and the one trying to figure out how to create new dragon riders.
Shavi Torell - pseudo dragon rider at the Imperial University, deceased
Sheraleigh - Nico’s sister, last surviving member of his clutch
Sir Galbrecht - Paladin of Miseria, he is the only living individual who is a chosen of his goddess and able to invoke an incomplete avatar power.
Modessa Lonerat - She is a rogue and shadow mage who was one of the fastest to reach level twenty by age thirty. She is cynical and untrusting of certain types of people, while being protective of other types of people—largely based upon her traumatic background.
Taleian deserts - The southernmost region of the continent of Taleian and the birthplace of most blue dragons on the continent. Apparently, at some point in the past it was a massive forest but a great war between dragon riders and unknown enemy having something to do with the horrors left it devastated.
Taleian - The name of the continent upon which the story is taking place. It is composed of several different kingdoms which are all part of one empire.
Taliea - An ancient city now on hard times at the edge of the great desert.
Terrance - A 4th year student and the resident assistant of the dorm that Nico is assigned to at the university, deceased.
The Pact- an agreement between the gods of Ileria and as of yet unknown parties which seems to restrict their actions upon the material world.
Temulara - Goddess of the sea, mother of chaos, one of the 12 gods of Ileria and a signatory of the Pact. She and Miseria seem to have some type of rivalry.
Tra’vis - Orcish dragon rider. He appeared in one of Nico’s Dragon Dreams and is a dragon rider who had grown wings and reports that he now shares the same lifespan as Wasnera.
Wasnera - An ancestor of Nico who appeared in one of his Dragon Dreams with her rider the orc, Tra’vis.
