You were born during a storm and had a temperament that could outlast any storm, her father told her as Storm joined Nava and Elf up at the altar with their fathers.
The king smiled. “Who gives these lovely ladies to their men?”
Nava’s father growled, Drake growled, and even Doc growled. All four men straightened but didn’t move an inch. Behind them, Storm knew the audience was smiling.
“Her mother and I do,” Drake said first followed by Nava’s father, and then, Doc looked down at her with such love tears filled her eyes.
“Don’t you dare,” Darla whispered to her, and Storm laughed, closing her eyes for a second to gather herself.
“I do, her father, and I know her other father would also give her to these two upstanding men if he were here,” Doc said and leaned down, placing a kiss on her cheek. “Love you, Storm, be happy.” Doc Lope moved her to Nolan and Matty, where they stepped up on each side. “We are trusting you with our hearts, don’t disappoint us,” Doc said, but Storm heard another growl behind them, and she glanced around her father to see her grandfather growling, too.
“Love you, Gramps,” she whispered, and he nodded but kept glaring at Nolan and Matty. She looked at her men, who glared back, and Storm sighed. “Knock it off, Gramps,” she said, and at once, he sighed and flinched as if someone had smacked him.
Doc Lope laughed. “It would seem your grandmother is not happy with him either,” he said, stepping back as the other parents moved to their seats.
The words were a blur, but when the king and his queen joined them at the altar drawing all their attention, Nolan didn’t know what to expect.
“With all the sadness and hurt these three ladies have gone through, I give them each a gift to help them, guide them toward the children they are seeking to help. The three of you are now and always will be children to the court of the pixy. Live a happy and full life, all three of you.”
Storm stood there as what felt like being shocked but through her whole body. She swore her blood was hoping all over the place. But the king was not done. He looked at each male and smiled, nodding.
Without warning, each of them jumped and snarled, rubbing the back of their heads. “You now have the gift of going any place you wish, including our world.” The king stepped back and wrapped his arm around his wife before vanishing.
Did you know he was going to do that, Storm asked her father.
I had no idea, but my grandparents might have since they are best friends with the king and queen. But it is a great honor. I must leave, Storm. I will speak with you again soon, and with those words, her father was gone.
Nolan turned her to him and cupped her cheeks. “He’ll be around. I have a feeling he’s going to give Matty and me hell, but it will be worth it because we have the biggest prize of all—you,” Nolan told her as he covered her mouth with his.
His tongue sliding into her mouth, dancing the first dance with hers, claiming her for all to see. All too soon, he broke the kiss. “Ours,” she said and turned to face Matty.
Matty had tears in his eyes as he took her hands into his, kissing each one before dropping one, wrapping it around her and pulling her up against his body. “I have been a fool. I could have lost you twice, and I promise you here and now, never again, Storm. You are finally mine, ours, and I will cherish you every single day.” Matty lowered his head, sealing his words with a kiss that had her toes curling and her heart singing.
Her life went from living on the streets to having a city of Magic turn her fear into love. Her Halloween wasn’t just normal, but nothing about the town of Magic was, and she and her sisters wouldn’t change it for the world as the three of them turned to face the crowd as they all stood and cheered for them.
“You do know we have to wait until the Halloween party is over for the children before we can take you away?” Nolan growled in her ear as people started to step up to them to congratulate them.
She leaned over and whispered. “But think how magical tonight will be then to wait, just like our wedding. Plus, Halloween is better at midnight when all the goblins and ghosts come out,” Storm said, brushing her hand down the front of both of her men’s pants, getting a growl from them both.
“Storm, behave,” Doc Lope said but smirking at both of her men.
Oh, yea, her life was full as Alex came over and wrapped his arms around her, hugging her. “You’re my momma now. She came to say goodbye to me last night, but she told me we would find my sister, that we would be that family.”
Storm glanced up at Nolan then at Matty. Both of them placed their hands on Alex’s shoulders. “We love you, Alex, and we are proud to have you in our family.”
Yes, her men were her heart, magical just like her wedding.
