“Rock those hips on my cock,” I growled as I continued tasting her.

Her body began to tremble as she worked her clit over my mushroom tip. I never did this. No wet pussy had ever rubbed against me bare. I dropped my hands to her hips and squeezed. This felt incredible. Like a long, wide tongue taking hard licks up my shaft.

“You get so wet. I can feel your juices running down to my balls. Faster,” I urged her, taking the hem of her top and pulling it off her body.

I wanted to watch her tits bounce as she got off. Lowering my head, I pulled a nipple into my mouth and sucked hard.

“OH! I’m going to come!” she cried out. Then, with a whimper, she grabbed my head, holding me against her as she shuddered through her release.

I followed behind her, grunting and grabbing a handful of her ass, continuing to grind her soaking pussy over me.

“Fuck yeah. Keep watching it, dirty girl,” I ground out as the last of my semen spewed onto my stomach.

She was still looking at the tip, as if she expected more to come. Grinning, I waited for her to look back up at me and not my load.

“There’s so much,” she said in awe before lifting her head to meet my gaze.

I tucked some of her hair behind her ear. “I’m starting to think you’re fascinated with cum, sweetheart.”

She lowered her lashes as a small smile touched her lips. “I like how you look and sound when it comes out.”

I placed my knuckle under her chin and lifted it so she was looking at me with those pretty eyes again. “That’s real good, baby. Because you’re gonna see and hear it a lot.”

A laugh bubbled out of her, and the damn grin on my face got bigger.

There were two different rooms that I would be working in on the pediatric floor.

The first one was filled with books. There was a reading nook, where the wall had been painted to look like a tree and bookshelves were placed along its branches. Craft areas were set up with supplies so that kids could make a specific craft that day that went along with one or more of the stories being read to them. I would be coming in four days a week to read the kids a story. There were three different story time hours, where I would read to them and help them with their crafts. I would also be in charge of cleaning up and disinfecting things after each group left.

The second room was the activity room. There were toys and games inside. When I wasn’t doing story time hour, I would be in this room, helping kids play with toys, cleaning up, and keeping things in their correct areas—that sort of thing.

Patty Shores, the director over the children’s activity centers at three different area hospitals, walked us through everything. Levi stayed with me and appeared to be listening intently. Patty was in her late thirties, but her gaze kept going to Levi instead of looking at me when she spoke. I honestly couldn’t blame her. I got it. I wanted to look at him all the time too.

“Two days a week, you will be working with another volunteer. Her name is Haisley Slate, and she’s been volunteering at the hospital for the past five years. She will be able to help you navigate the day and can answer any questions you might have,” Patty informed me, still staring at Levi, once again forgetting that it was me she was talking to.

“Your background check was cleared, and the former staff where you volunteered had nothing but excellent things to say about your work. I am thrilled to have you here. We have needed more volunteers in the activity centers. They come and go. It will be nice to have someone who has a true passion to be here. Now, Mr. Shephard said you could start as soon as tomorrow. Is that what you would like to do? Or do you have another date in mind?” she asked, glancing from Levi to me.

“Tomorrow would be great,” I replied.

She seemed pleased. “Excellent. Haisley will be here then too.” She smiled up at Levi. “Do you have any questions, Mr. Shephard?” she asked as she devoured him with her eyes.

“I will need an exact time that Aspen will be leaving each day. If that time will vary, then I want her to stay on this floor until I or someone I send comes to get her.”

Patty’s eyes shifted to me, then back to him. “Of course. So, she won’t be driving herself?”

“No. She’ll have one of our drivers bring her.”

I turned to him. “I have Irish’s car,” I told him.

“I’ll drive you, or I’ll have someone bring you.” His tone made it clear I wasn’t going to be allowed to drive here.

Was he still worried about my safety?

“You must be very important to Mr. Shephard.” Patty spoke as if she were talking to a child. I kind of felt like one at the moment.

  “She is,” Levi replied.

I could see the questions in her eyes, and since she wasn’t wearing a wedding band, I had a feeling Patty was trying to decide if Levi was my boyfriend or my guardian. He was making it sound like he was my guardian. I could see where she would be confused.

Patty let out a nervous laugh. “Lucky girl.”

Levi’s hand rested on my lower back. “If you have everything you need from her, then we will be on our way. Thank you for all your time today.”

Patty’s adoring gaze was back on him. “Yes, absolutely. I’m thrilled to have Aspen working with us. You have my number—it’s there with the papers I gave you. If at any time you need to ask me about Aspen or anything really, please feel free to call.”

Patty was laying it on thick. I was glad she wasn’t here that often and rotated between hospitals. I wouldn’t know how to handle her if she started asking me about Levi. She was letting me volunteer, and I was so thankful they had availability for me to come help. However, I also wanted her to know that Levi wasn’t going to be calling her. I couldn’t call him mine, but his body was mine at least.

Levi simply gave her a nod, then looked down at me. “Are you ready? Is there anything else you’d like to ask or see?”

“I think I’ve seen it all.” I looked back at Patty. “Thank you so much.”

“It was my pleasure,” she said, still nervously checking out Levi, as if she wanted to ask him something more.

Levi pressed on my back and led me to the elevators. I waved goodbye to Patty as we walked away. His hand stayed on me as we waited for the doors to open and even after we were inside.

Once we were alone, he looked at me. “Are you happy?”

  “Very.”

He smirked. “Good. I feel like I’ve been eye-fucked for the past hour.”

I let out a laugh, glad he had noticed it. “She is hoping you save her number in your phone,” I teased him.

He ran his thumb over my bottom lip. “Hmm,” was his only response.

The doors opened, and we stepped out into the bright white lobby, passing two nurses and a doctor. Levi slid his hand from my back to my hip, pulling me closer to his side. I glanced up at him, and I could see his jaw tighten.

He pushed open the door leading outside, and his eyes met mine. The possessive gleam in them confused me. What had triggered him?

“Is something wrong?” I asked as he continued holding me close to his side while we walked to his Mercedes.

“The male nurse looked at you too long,” he replied.

I had to press my lips together to keep from smiling. I hadn’t noticed it, but if Levi wanted to stake a claim, then I would happily let him. There was no other man who would ever interest me. Not after Levi. I doubted anyone could ever compare.

When we reached the car, Levi walked me over to the passenger side, and instead of opening the door, he pressed my back against it. His mouth covered mine. Smoke and mint teased me as his tongue caressed and flicked expertly against mine. I melted into him, loving how his kiss made all other parts of my body tingle with pleasure.

“This fucking mouth,” he murmured against my lips before pulling me to his chest and opening the door behind me.

He let me go so I could get inside, but before he closed the door, he leaned in and took the seat belt, then reached over me, buckling me in.

“Did I buckle incorrectly before?” I asked him as he checked the strap, his face close to mine.

“I had to share you today,” he said. “Other people got to look at you.”

My heart sped up. “So, you had to buckle me in?”

He brushed my hair back off my shoulder as he stared at my neck. “I’ve always been dark. Needed things that others don’t. It can get warped, distorted.” He leaned down to brush his nose and lips along the crook of my neck. “I’ve found you trigger a beast inside of me, demanding to own you.” His teeth pulled at my earlobe. “Be the only thing you need.”

I sucked in a breath as he licked at the skin beneath my ear.

“It wants to tie you to my bed and keep you all to himself.”

A small whimper escaped me, and his eyes locked on mine. They weren’t hazel anymore. They were black.

“Does that frighten you?” he asked quietly.

  “No,” I answered honestly.

“It should.” He moved away then and stood up, closing the door.

I gasped, placing a hand on my chest. “Good Lord,” I whispered.

When he climbed into the driver’s seat, he smiled at me. “Are you hungry?”

I wasn’t sure if he was crazy or not, but I did fear one thing. I was afraid I might be falling in love with him.

Too many fucking cars. I gripped the steering wheel tightly, annoyed. After being out most of the day with Aspen and having to see other men look at her, I needed to get her in my room. The amount of people at the house only told me that wasn’t going to fucking happen anytime soon.

“Who’s all here?” Aspen asked as we pulled into the garage.

“Looks like everyone.” The annoyance in my voice was clear.

  “Do you not like everyone?”

I cut off the engine and looked at her. “I just wasn’t expecting a crowd.”

  “Oh,” she replied, looking confused.

I opened my door and got out, then made my way over to her side just as she was stepping out. Caging her in, I grabbed her chin.

“Did you not hear me earlier?” I growled.

She batted her lashes slowly as she stared up at me. There was the trace of fear she had claimed she didn’t have. I closed in on her.

“I get you out of the car, Aspen. Me.” Leaning down, I rubbed the side of my face against hers. “Tell me you understand.”

I felt her shiver. “I understand.”

“Good girl.” Stepping back, I took her hand in mine and pulled her from against the car, then closed the door before walking toward the entrance to the house.

I was struggling. This was new to me. Whatever fucking thing she’d awoken in me wasn’t doing great with taking her in public. I knew keeping her here, away from the world, wasn’t fair or healthy. But right now, I was starting to question my mental health.

Once we were inside the house, I kept her hand in mine as we headed to the noise coming from the backyard. During breakfast, I had heard Trinity mention having a get-together this evening, but I hadn’t been paying attention. My thoughts had been on Aspen and the knowledge that I was going to fuck her tonight.

“It’s a party.” Aspen sounded pleased.

  “It appears so.”

I pushed open the glass door leading out to the pool area. The scent of the meat that Huck had on the grill filled the air. Blaise’s son, Cree, was yelling as he ran and jumped into the water, where Trev was waiting on him. Trinity lifted her hand and waved at Aspen. She was surrounded by Maddy, Shiloh, and Gypsi.

Aspen glanced up at me, and as much as I wanted to keep her by my side, there was a hopefulness in her expression. I nodded, and she broke into a smile before leaving me to go join the other females. The only one in a bikini that wasn’t covered up was Gypsi. I hoped it stayed that way. I didn’t want Aspen putting on that damn white bikini.

“You look like someone took your favorite toy,” Gage drawled as he came up beside me.

I ignored his comment. I didn’t even understand the shit going on in my head right now. She was more than my favorite toy. Although what was between her legs was my favorite thing to play with.

Changing the subject, I asked, “Where’s Kye?”

  “With Genesis.”

  “She visiting her folks?”

“Nope,” Gage replied with a pop to his lips.

I looked over at him. “She moving back?” I asked.

He nodded, raising his eyebrows. “Seems she got in a fight or some shit with the boyfriend. Hell, I don’t know. She called Kye, crying, and he took off running. Weirdest fucking relationship.”

It always had been. Genesis Stoll had grown up next door to Kye. She was his best friend, and he swore that was all they were. Apparently, she hadn’t always been hot. She had bloomed late or some shit. They had a long history, and Kye would drop anything if she needed him.

“She’s called before when he had his dick in a mouth. That damn ringtone of hers goes off, and he answers. Even when he’s getting sucked off.”

“Did he at least get his nut?”

“No. She was upset, and he pulled his damn dick out and left.”

Gage shook his head in disgust.

“Back to your weird fucking relationship,” Gage said with a smirk. “What’s going on? You fucking her?”

“Not yet,” I bit out. Talking about Aspen was something I didn’t want to do. I’d rather discuss the weather.

“Yet. I see. So, you’re going to.”

  I didn’t reply.

“She must not be as much like Mother Teresa as we first thought.”

No, it seemed like my good girl had a naughty streak. One that I wasn’t going to share.

“She’s young. She’s going to get attached. You know that.”

“I’m counting on it.” As I said the words, I realized I meant them.

“And you’re going to hurt her. You don’t care about that?”

I didn’t want to think about the future or what this shit all meant. I just knew I wanted Aspen. I wasn’t interested in other pussy. The day would probably come when I would be, but it wasn’t anytime soon.

“Gage,” Shiloh called out to him.

  “Yeah, baby?”

“Would you bring me a water?”

  He grinned. “On it.”

  “You’re pussy-whipped,” I pointed out.

“Obsessed, not whipped.” He winked at me before walking off.

His obsession with Shiloh had always been psychotic to me, but I was beginning to wonder if I was the insane one. Not him. At least he didn’t want to lock her away from the world and keep her to himself.

I had buckled Aspen in the damn car. What the fuck was wrong with me?

My gaze was back on her. I couldn’t seem not to look at her. She was laughing at something Maddy had said, but her eyes swung over to meet mine. When she caught me watching her, the shy smile on her face made me want to go throw her over my shoulder and take her somewhere I wouldn’t have to share her.

Maybe fucking her would ease some of this. Once I had my cock in her, I’d realize it was just a damn cunt. That made sense. I’d never held off from fucking someone like this before. It was a new experience. I was acting like an insane man because I just needed to fuck her. Get it over with.

Letting out a sigh, I felt better about things.

  Twenty-Nine

  Aspen

“Okay,” Maddy whispered, “so when did Levi start looking at Aspen like she’s his favorite snack?”

Trinity started laughing as her eyes darted to me. “He’s been possessive since day one, but recently, he’s gotten worse.”

I was smiling, and it was probably one of those goofy, ridiculous grins, but I couldn’t help it. Levi looking at me and wanting me made me happier than I’d ever been. Spending the day with him today had spoiled me. I wanted that all the time.

“I’m guessing I missed the part where he groveled at your feet after last night,” Shiloh said, shooting a look in Levi’s direction. “I thought Kye was going to hit him, and vice versa.”

  Maddy frowned. “What happened?”

“Levi being Levi happened,” Trinity replied.

Maddy seemed to understand what that meant, which made my stomach feel like I had swallowed rocks.

“He seems to have taken on a new outlook on things today,” Shiloh said, smiling. “Whatever you said to him, it woke him up more than Kye taking a swing at him would have.”

I could feel all their eyes on me. I shifted in my seat, not liking the attention.

“Okay, so if no one is going to ask, I will. I’m now invested in this,” Gypsi said, leaning forward. “I don’t know Levi that well, but I know from the little I’ve heard that he and Kye are man-whores. Not judging. Trev was an awful one, too, until I tamed him. Anyway, what did you say to him today? Because he can’t stop looking over here at you. And the heat he’s putting off in that gaze is intense.”

My eyes swung back over to him, and she was right. He was locked in on me while Huck talked to him. Was he even listening to Huck?

Pressing my lips together, I dropped my eyes to my hands. “I, uh, just told him that if he didn’t want to be exclusive, then I couldn’t emotionally have, uh, sex with him and stuff.” I left it at that.

Trinity covered her mouth to smother her laugh. Her eyes danced with amusement.

“Smart,” Gypsi replied with an impressed expression.

I hadn’t been trying to manipulate him. I’d just been honest.

“I think you’ve done the impossible,” Maddy said, wiggling her eyebrows at me. “But then again, even the worst bad boys can fall in love.”
