“Doesn’t really matter now. We’re both here. I don’t care about anything else.”
He didn’t speak, and pulled me into another gentle kiss. That gentle kiss became a longer one, a deeper one.
I was out of breath when Aiden broke the kiss.
“I want you so bad,” he whispered. “I can’t even think.”
“Then don’t.”
We slipped into his bed. On a mattress this small, we had little choice but to get as close to each other as we could.
I had no idea how much time passed. I didn’t care. Any other night, maybe I’d have been so turned on I couldn’t see straight, full of that single-minded need to fuck or be fucked until I relieved this ache. And I was turned on, and I did want to have him every way I could, but I was so overwhelmed with simply being with him, I couldn’t rush.
At least, not until I lifted myself off him and met his gaze, and saw that desire that had been there every time—the first time, the last time, every time in between—and then I needed him. I couldn’t wait.
“Fuck me,” I breathed.
“With pleasure.” He kissed me again and then leaned down to rummage for something beside the bed. A moment later, he sat up, and in his hand, he had a tube like the one he’d carried at the wireless lounges. He poured the clear liquid into his hand, and when he met my eyes, I shivered. I bit my lip as he smoothed the liquid onto his cock.
“Turn over,” he whispered.
I moved onto my hands and knees. Aiden’s hand warmed the small of my back, and I wondered if my arms could even be trusted to hold me up when I was this aroused. All I wanted to do was collapse into him, surrender to anything and everything he wanted.
He pressed against me. Slowly, carefully, he pushed in, and I dropped onto my forearms, my eyes stinging with tears as his thick cock slid into me. He took me slowly, letting me feel every single inch, and my head spun and heart pounded as he sank into me. It was just like the first time, my body yielding to him as my arms threatened to shake out from under me.
“Oh God,” I whispered, my back arching beneath him.
He forced his cock deeper. My vision blurred, and then my eyes rolled back anyway, and I didn’t care because he felt so good. He thrust harder, and I was intoxicated by every smooth, slick motion.
“Slowly,” I whispered. “Go slowly. Let me…let me feel you.”
He obeyed.
As he found his rhythm, though, I couldn’t get enough. I pushed myself up again and rocked back against him, complementing his slow, easy strokes.
His body didn’t even feel separate from mine anymore, not when we were as close as two human beings could be, one moving deep inside the other.
He leaned down, and when I turned my head, he found my lips with his. We kissed, and he moved, and I was in ecstasy. Absolute ecstasy.
“Like that?” he murmured against my lips.
“Love it. God, Aiden…” My head fell forward, and I shivered.
He slowed to a stop. I wanted to tell him to keep going, but couldn’t make myself speak. I couldn’t even convince my body to move and urge him back into motion.
Aiden pulled out, kissed the back of my shoulder, and murmured, “Get on your back.”
I turned around, but instead of lying back on the bed, I reached for him, and we came together in a kiss that was equal parts languid and hungry. We held each other, explored each other’s mouths, and even though I physically ached to have him inside me again, his kiss was too addictive to pull away from just yet.
Aiden was the one to finally break the kiss, and he whispered again, “On your back.”
I obeyed, turned over, and parted my legs for him. He guided himself back in. We both exhaled, shivering as he took that first long, deep stroke.
Aiden leaned down and slid his hands under my shoulders. Holding on tight, he moved inside me, picking up speed and hitting that sweet spot just right to make my eyes water. His forehead touched mine, and a rush of breath cooled my lips. “Oh God.”
I reached between us, and he lifted enough to let me stroke my own cock. He fucked me in time with my strokes, or maybe I stroked in time with his thrusts; it was impossible to tell. All that mattered was that the twin sensations, not to mention just being here with him, tangled up and panting and sweating with him, sent me out of my mind. Even the first time together had nothing on this. It wasn’t new this time. It was relief. Pure relief right alongside the building tension of our impending orgasms. This was right. This was how things needed to be, how we should have been all along, and now we were here, and we were closer than two men had any legal right to be, but we ground together with the desperate need to be even closer.
I arched my back, shuddering beneath him, and when his rhythm fell apart in favor of something more feverish, more desperate, my eyes rolled back and my vision turned white. My orgasm shook me right to the core, curling my fingers and toes and turning every nerve ending into a crackling live wire.
Aiden moaned. He buried his face against my neck, his warm breath and coarse jaw overwhelming those already tingling nerve endings, and then he thrust all the way inside me, jerked forward a few times like he thought he could get just a little deeper, and shuddered.
The entire world was still. Even the ground beneath us. Aiden’s heart pounded, and so did mine, but nothing else moved or made a sound.
Aiden withdrew, but he didn’t get up. He rested his head on my chest, and I stroked his hair as we both caught our breath.
After a while, he pushed himself up on his arms, and when his eyes met mine, he smiled. So did I. As he came down to me again, he whispered, “I love you.”
“I love you too.” I ran my fingers through his sweat-dampened hair. “I don’t care how dangerous it is. I don’t want to live without you.”
Aiden kissed me again. “You don’t have to. I’m not going anywhere.”
“Neither am I. But what do we do now?”
“We’ll figure it out.” He smoothed my hair. “There are others like us, the ones who’ve been caught and have to lay low. I’ve got connections, and I can keep us under the radar.”
“You think that’s possible?”
“There’s fourteen million people in this part of the city alone.” He grinned. “With new identities? Just let them try to find us.”
I couldn’t help returning the grin. A few weeks ago, those odds would’ve made me nervous, but now there was something exhilarating about this. Sure, it was terrifying in its own right, and we’d probably never be able to relax completely, but I wasn’t turning back.
He lifted his chin and kissed my forehead. “God, I love you.”
Before I could respond, he pulled me into a kiss, and we held on to each other. We didn’t have sex again that night, but we didn’t let go either. As the night closed in, and fatigue pushed us toward sleep, we held on. Skin to skin, beneath a blanket, hidden away in an apartment in a densely populated part of the city, we held on.
The future wasn’t certain. We were both wanted for crimes the city wouldn’t tolerate and the two of us couldn’t resist. We’d be on the run until the laws changed or the cops gave up.
But we were together. We could touch the way two people needed to.
And in our own way, in our own pocket of the universe, we were free.
