Love is a Walk in the Park,
p.15
“Oh. My. God. You are such a tramp. Go get your woman and eat. We’ll stay up here and canoodle.” I slid my fingers up over Duane’s shirt as I went all vamp.
“But I like pizza too.” My man sighed.
“I have something for you that’s much tastier than dough and cheese,” I whispered then bounced off to the bedroom, leaving the moving men staring at my delectable ass. Within seconds, I heard the floorboards squeaking as someone approached our bedroom and hurried to position myself on the bare mattress. I was sure I was oozing sexuality and desire with my wanton come-hither look. Duane appeared in the doorway, his beautiful eyes finding me spread out like a two-dollar whore.
“You look really good like that,” he said, his voice thickening with desire.
I licked my lips. He took a step closer, his glasses not able to hide his blown-out pupils. “Imagine how good I’ll look when you get all these troublesome clothes of mine off…”
He grunted like a randy boar. My cock kicked. Then the sound of toenails scrabbling across the worn hardwood flooring reached my ears. I shouted and threw my arms over my head just in time to ward off the foamy face-washing from two wildly happy dogs. Pizzy sat on my chest and licked all the skin she could find. Tiberius was so wound up he pulled my ribbon free after sticking his tongue into my ear then ran around the bed with a soggy ribbon.
“This is not how I thought this moment would play out.” Duane chuckled, the side of the bed bouncing as he leaped onto the mattress to join the fray. My dog spun to kiss him. Tibby ran over my chest, ribbon still in his mouth, and danced on my stomach until Duane scooped him up and fawned over him.
“Ugh…dog…chest…cannot…breathe,” I gasped dramatically then threw in a ‘bloody hell’ to keep my accent sharp.
Duane gave the pit bull a gentle nudge. She slid off me, rolled to her back tight to my side, all four feet in the air, tail whipping back and forth. There I laid, undone and not at all sexy, covered in dog spittle, with a big strapping man making baby talk to his pooch.
“This is not at all how I thought this moment would go either, but you know what?” Duane looked over at me, his eyes shining with happiness.
“You love me?”
“Well, yes, of course.” I patted his scruffy cheek and gazed at him adoringly. “But this moment is perfect just as it is.”
Both dogs yipped in agreement.

About the authors
Stephanie Locey loves video games, bad jokes, and kind people. She works full-time at a low-paying job and strives to not do that anymore. When not writing or working, she can be found playing fantasy RPGs, petting cats, and planning for adventures.
V.L. Locey loves worn jeans, yoga, belly laughs, Dr. Who/Torchwood, walking, reading and writing lusty tales, Greek mythology, the New York Rangers, comic books, and coffee. (Not necessarily in that order.) She shares her life with her husband, her daughter, one dog, two cats, a flock of assorted goofy domestic fowl, and one steer.
When not writing spicy romances, she enjoys spending her day with her menagerie in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania with a cup of fresh java in hand.
