“Oh darling I’ll be fine you go ahead.” Cam replied as she continued to watch the woman.

  Once Blake had left the room Cam walked over to stand by the table standing directly across from Vala. Cam’s gaze never wavered from her as she kept a close eye on the woman that was wanted for many crimes in several countries including the US.

  “Was there something else you wanted Vala?” Cam asked.

  “You are a very clever woman aren’t you?” She asked with a very strange accent. Her accent seemed to be a mixture of the, varies countries she was associated with making it hard to pinpoint her origin.

  Cam narrowed her eyes at the woman. “I have no idea want you’re talking about so explain to me how you think I’m being clever.”

  Vala give Cam a half smile where only one corner of her mouth turned upward. “A woman like one knows how use her assets to get what she wants, a rich husband, a nice home, life of luxury. But we both know that there’s more to you than meets the eye don’t we?”

  “What is it that you think you know about me Vala?” Cam asked with extreme caution.

  “The fact that you are fluent in more than one language from the looks of your athletically fit body I’m quite sure you’re a well trained fighter.” The woman said with a sinister looking smirk.

  “Who or what is it that you think I am Vala?”

  “You are either a highly paid call girl, or…” She said the last word drawing it out.

  Cam placed both hands on her hips. “Or what Vala?” cam asked through clenched teeth.

  “You know I’m really beginning to hate the way you say me name.”

  “You’re going to hate more than that if don’t just say what it is you have to say Vala.”

  Cam said her name just to antagonize her she smiled when the woman’s expression changed to that of anger.

  “As I was saying you are either a highly overpaid call girl or highly trained agent of some sort.” Vala said. Kat and Kenji heard what she’d said a prepared to more in.

  “Cam we’re coming in.” She heard Kat say. Cam shook her head telling them to wait. “You want us to wait?” Kat asked. Cam nodded slightly but it was enough for Kat to acknowledge it. “Gotcha, we’ll be ready on your signal, the guy’s aren’t back yet and they haven’t checked in.”

  “So Vala what makes you think that I’m either one of those? Why can’t I just be a woman who fell in love with a great guy? You see the problem with woman like you is you can’t see the big picture.”

  “You know nothing of a woman like me.” Vala yelled.

  “Au contraire cher sot l’un.” (To the contrary dear foolish one) Cam said with a devious smile.

  “Who are you calling a fool you witch?” Vala said furiously.

  “That the best you can do? Believe me I’ve been called much worse.” Cam said laughing.

  “I’m sure you have and well deservingly I bet. But you know nothing of a woman like me. I was offered a great deal of money to get rid of you and your husband. You see we need for that dim witted sister of his to obtain a few more shares of the family company before Deiderich can marry her and then I’ll get rid of her too.”

  “You really are the kind of woman that will do anything for money am I right? You don’t need to answer of course I’m right. Well I hope you got paid in advance for this job.” Cam said walking slowly around the table towards the woman.

  “And why is that?” Vala asked. Cam paused when she heard Kat’s voice.

  “Cam in case you’re wondering why Blake hasn’t come back yet he and his family are being held at gunpoint so you may want to wrap up the girl talk and kick that heifers ass.” She heard Kat saying in her ear. “Oh and the guys just got back they’re a little bruised and battered but otherwise their okay and one of her men got away.”

  “Because there’s no way in hell you’re getting out of here alive to spend it.” Cam replied as she reached for Vala, the woman delivered a hard sucker punch to Cam’s ribs causing her to gasp but kept coming. The woman took a step back hoping to step out of Cam’s reach. No such luck Cam was too quick for her before she knew what was happening Cam had delivered several punishing blows of her own.

  The first one was a punch to the midsection that knocked the wind from the woman. The second was an upper cut delivered as the woman bent over to gasp in some air. The third was a spinning roundhouse kick to the head that sent the woman flying landing hard on the tile floor knocking her out cold.

  By the time Cam got to the living room area Lauren’s boyfriend had been taken down and handcuffed.

  Blake opened his arms for her she didn’t hesitate she walked right into them as they embraced he kissed her on the top of the head.”Are you alright mon amour?” He asked.

  “Oui le chéri je suis fin.” (Yes darling I’m fine) Cam said. “It was all in a day’s work.”

  CHAPTER TWELVE

  Hours after the all the excitement calmed down everyone relaxed on the patio. The incident had been explained to Blake’s family as a case of the crazy boyfriend and his equally insane employee. They bought the story and didn’t think much of it since no one liked either of them. Although Lauren was still a bit confused she was easily distracted when Hamilton and Chandler arrived as she told them what a nut her boyfriend had turned out to be.

  Hamilton Coleman was second oldest only two years younger than Blake. He was as handsome as the other men in the Coleman family. His wide shoulders and muscular frame would be a turn on for any woman. Especially with his tanned complexion and light blue eyes standing just a few inches shorter than Blake. The black dress slacks he wear fit to perfection as did his white button up shirt.

  Chandler Coleman was the third child being four years younger than Blake and just as handsome. His deeply tanned complexion was a testament that he spent a lot of time outdoors. His eyes seem to be a mixture of Patrice’s grey ones and Byron’s blue ones give them a totally unique shade of cool blue-grey. Those eyes with his gorgeous face were a win-win for any single lady looking to catch a hunk. He was as tall as his Blake with shoulder not quite as wide but that didn’t take away from his sexy physique that was in cased in khaki pants and a blue button-up shirt.

  “I thought you two weren’t coming until tomorrow?” Blake asked his brothers as they walked a short distance away from the others.

  “Actually Blake we’ve been in the states for three days.” Hamilton said.

  “Well why didn’t you call?” Blake asked causing Hamilton and Chandler to exchange looks.

  “We couldn’t not until we were given the go ahead.” Chandler said.

  “The go ahead what have the two of you gotten into now?”

  “No more than you have Blake, we work for MI6 and we need your teams help.” Hamilton said.

  “What do you know about my team?” Blake asked his brothers with a deep frown.

  “Not much all we know is that we were to contact a guy by the name of Kenji Fujimoto and he’d take care of the rest when we spoke to him and he found out who we were he told us about you and swore us to secrecy.” Chandler told his big brother.

  “He told us to just hang tight until mom, dad and Lauren leave on Sunday.” Hamilton said.

  “Well if Kenji told you both to hang tight then that’s what you do. We’ll figure all this out when it’s time.” Blake said to his younger brothers. “Have you both met my wife?”

  “Oh yeah she’s not only gorgeous but she is one kick ass agent from what we hear.” Hamilton said.

  “How the hell did you land a woman like that?” Chandler asked.

  “Just what is that suppose to mean?” Blake asked as they headed back to rejoin everyone else.

  “What’s wrong Kat?” Cam asked as she sat next to her on one of the lounge chairs.

  “My father called there was an earthquake in Japan followed by a tsunami there were a lot of people hurt and their not sure how many would killed.” Kat said as tears seeped from her eyes.

  “Oh Kat I’m so sorry are they alright?” Cam asked with concern.

  “Yes luckily they weren’t in the hardest hit areas. I just feel so helpless their over there and I’m here.” Kat said sounding frustrated. “I wanted to fly over there but my father and Kenji have forbid it the radiation levels are to high especially since I’m pregnant.”

  “There must be something you can do from here.” Cam said.

  “Yes, what they need right now more than anything is food, water supplies and money. I can help raise donations for them that’s what I’ll do. I can call in all the favors I have out there we can hold fundraisers like concerts and benefit dinners. There’s so much I can do from here thanks Cam.”

  “Hey anytime and I’ll be the first one to give you a donation, Blake can you come here for second honey?” Cam yelled through the crowd. Blake wasted no time getting to her side.

  “What is it honey?” He asked.

  “Kat is raising donations for Japan you know the earthquake and tsunami?”

  “Yeah Kenji was just telling us about that.” Blake said.

  “Well you need to write a big check to get her off to a good start and see if you can get your parents and your brothers to write a couple of big fat checks to donate also.”

  “I’ll see what I can do. You know where the checkbook is you go write her the check for whatever amount you want.” Blake said kissing her on the lips before turning to move away he paused for a moment, looking over his shoulder at her. “Just don’t clean us out okay.” Cam laughed at his back and as she did she grabbed her ribs from the intense pain.

  “What was that?” Kat asked.

  “It was nothing, don’t worry about it I’m fine.” Cam lied.

  Kat made a motion as if she was going to poke her in the ribs Cam’s reflexes had her trying to protect that area and she groaned from the pain when she did.

  “You little lair let me see, either you let me see your ribs or I will have Blake and Thai over here so fast your pretty little head will spin.”

  Cam reluctantly lifted her shirt just a little, enough for Kat to see the big red and blue bruise over her ribs.

  “That looks bad Cam. When did that happen? Never mind I think I know. It was when clown girl sucker punched you in the side. Well that needs to be looked at.” Kat told Cam.

  “No I’m fine, you promised that if I let you see then you wouldn’t tell anyone.”

  “Oh no I didn’t. I did not make you any such promise what I said was either you show me or I would call Blake and Thai over here. I also didn’t say that I wouldn’t tell Blake if I thought it was serious enough and that is. Blake can you please come here?” Kat yelled. He didn’t get there as fast as he did the previous time.

  “What is it Kat?” He asked.

  “Your wife has some badly bruised ribs you might want to take a look at them I think they might be cracked.”

  “It’s not that bad really.” Cam said unconvincing.

  “Let me see Cam.” Blake demanded, anger was etched into his facial features at seeing the damage that had been done to Cam’s ribs. “Dang it Cam this is bad, Prescott can you come here for a minute please?” Blake yelled through the crowd of guests. Prescott hurried over to where Blake was kneeing at Cam’s side.

  “What is it Blake?” Prescott asked.

  “Cam has badly bruised ribs some of them might be cracked, can you see how bad it is.”

  Prescott looked at her ribs and grimaced. “This is pretty bad Cam, how long did you think you could hide something like this?”

  “Save the lecture and just patch me up, medicine man.” Cam said teasingly to Prescott.

  “Not this time champ, I’ll spread an herbal rub on them to ease the pain but you need to have an x-ray.” Prescott said as he turned to Alex. “Hey man can you get my bag from the car?”

  “No problem I’ll be right back.” Alex said.

  “I’m not going to the hospital so there better be another way to get those x-rays.”

  Cam complained.

  “We know a doctor who can come here to do the x-rays.” Hamilton said as he stood by quietly observing.

  “Do you think she’ll come?” Blake asked.

  “Yes she’ll come she’s a concierge doctor her name is Akiva Jennings and she’s the best doctor you’ll ever find.” Hamilton replied.

  “Call her tell her to get here as quickly as she can.” Blake said. Hamilton took out his cell phone to place the call as he move a few feet away. “So Mrs. Coleman does that meet your approval?” Blake asked Cam kissing the palm of her hand.

  “Yes Mr. Coleman it certainly does because as long as I’m with you everything is just peachy.” Cam said happily as she gazed at her husband.

  Cam finally had everything she’d ever wanted a big family, good friends and a hot, sexy, loving husband. Thank heavens it was the man she loved more than life itself.
