If I love someone, it becomes a distraction and all I do, is to eliminate my distractions.

  PAPI stood up and stormed out of the restaurant showing me just how rude, arrogant, proud and heartless he is.

  He doesn't care about me or our marriage. All he wants is to increase the profit of his business by getting more connection out of my father's business.

  I am just a business project and when he has no need for me, he's just going to get rid of me.

  He's not even scared. He's telling me to my face that he can kill me whenever you wants.

  I can't get married to someone like that.

  What am I supposed to do now? My father won't listen to me if I talk to him about this marriage and about PAPI.

  His words to me are commands, commands which I can never go against but maybe I can talk to Mr Melendez, PAPI's father.

  Maybe he's going to reconsider everything. I can probably make some other deal with him rather than selling myself to be married off to a heartless beast.

  I really wanted someone I could talk to about everything going on in my life and so I started visiting FREEN regularly.

  But she never wants me around. She mostly avoids me or ignores me.

  She doesn't know what I'm going through and whenever I try to bring it up with her, it felt like she doesn't want to hear it.

  I kept on visiting her over and over again wishing that she will Read inbetween the lines and see that I needed a friend, a real friend.

  But no matter how hard I tried, she never sees my pain. She only saw the bitchy and arrogant part of Me.

  Since my regular visits to her house did not change FREEN'S attitude towards me, I decided to carry out the second part of my plan which was talking to Mr Melendez.

  I went to Mr Melendez's office to talk to him. His office is situated at the other part of town and the building was very secured with armed men.

  "Master PAWA is not available today." One of the armed guards told me when I asked about Mr melendez.

  I had to go home and return the following day but I was told the same news that Mr Melendez wasn't available.

  I waited for hours but whenever I asked if he had arrived, I got the same replies.

  Since he wasn't around, I went back home and came back after two days.

  But even then, they kept on telling me that Mr Melendez wasn't available. I refuse to take their word for it this time.

  I stormed into the building and since I was getting married to PAPI, they can't actually physically touch me or restrict me from going wherever I want because that will be their end.

  I found my way to Mr Melendez's office but truly, he wasn't in his office. When I force myself into the office, PAPI was the one sitting down there attending to business.

  BECKY'S POV

  "Are you here to tell my father that you don't want to get married to me?" PAPI asked with an evil grin on his face.

  "My soon-to-be wife, give it up already. no one is going to save you from me. And there's nothing you can do to stop us from getting married.

  Your father made a promise and I know you're just a baby who doesn't understand our line of business but your father can't go back on his word or his entire empire will be burnt down by my father and I."

  He stood up from his seat and walked up to me, holding the back of my head as he pulled me to himself and forcefully kissed me.

  Immediately, I pushed him away and slapped.

  "Are you mad? What audacity do you have to kiss me? This Is assault. You're assaulting me and you can go to jail for this.

  You're a beast, no wonder you're not married. You're over two decades older than me and still no one wants to marry you.

  It is because you're a beast, you're the devil himself.

  PAPI? Now you listen to me, listen very carefully and read my lips; You and I, will never happened.

  Even if it kills me, I'll stop this marriage. I'd rather be dead than to get married to a beast like you."

  I kept on ranting and yelling at him hitting him but he just kept on smiling without a care in the world.

  Our marriage is inevitable. He knows that and that is why he doesn't care about my actions and deep down inside of me, I also knew that I was just wasting my time.

  When a business deal has been made in this line of business between DRUG LORDS, there is no going back.

  If there's a breach of contract, it is going to lead to lots of bloodshed.

  I knew there was nothing I could do and so, I let out my anger in the only way I could which was to rain down insults on PAPI.

  While I was going on and on, Mr Melendez walked into the office.

  Turns out, he has been there from the start. Just in the other room listening to my conversation with PAPI.

  He walked to me and said exactly what PAPI said;

  "Your marriage to my son will happen whether you like it or not. You can raise your voice as much as you want now.

  Because the moment you become Mrs PAPI, you will not have a voice anymore.

  You've only heard about my son's brutality but you'll experience it for yourself when you're finally married into this family.

  We will take over your father's business, his connections and his power from this marriage and after that, we are going to get rid of you silly girl."

  The entire family is just insane and terrifying. Hearing the words of Mr Melendez, made me tremble.

  I wanted to leave that building as soon as possible before they do anything to hurt me.

  I turned around to leave in a hurry when Mr Melendez said; "Oh lest I forget, your father is going to hear about your display here, today"

  Now, I was definitely convinced that I don't want to get married into this family. My family is bad but this family is the worst.

  The moment I got home, my father was already in so much rage.

  He had already heard about my display to my soon-to-be in-laws. He asked everybody to excuse the both of us is from the sitting room and when they all left, he walked up to me so furiously, ready to devour me.

  "Father, I'm sorry, I can explain. I just went there to talk to them abou....."

  I couldn't complete my statement before the thunderous slap landed on me.

  "You useless child. You've been nothing but a burden to me and finally, you become useful somewhere and you went there to ruin that also?

  What a shame and disgrace you are to me. Marry PAPI or else I'll strangle you to death with my own bare hands." My father thundered down on me.

  "I don't want to get married to him father. He is a beast. I know that you don't care about me but do you really want THE HEIR TO THE DRAGON to die like a lowly commoner?

  And in the hands of the PAWA syndicate? That will be a disgrace to THE DRAGON." I said trying to convince him that the marriage was a bad idea

  "Not as much disgrace as you're bringing to me right now. BECKY, I'm a man of my words and if I say you'll marry PAPI, you will most definitely marry PAPI." He thundered still

  "Father please, I don't..."

  "Quiet!!! You'll do as I say BECKY or else, you'll lose everything, and I mean everything dear to you

  You'll come back to beg on your knees but by then, it would be too late because there's no coming back from beyond the grave.

  And that is where everything and everyone you care about will be, if you refuse to marry PAPI."

  He stormed out of the sitting room after saying this, leaving me standing there all by myself.

  I couldn't bear it anymore as I broke down into tears. The life of a gangster is something I wanted to avoid but now, that is my only option.

  I need to leave. Go somewhere my father would never find me and who cares about those ridiculous friends of mine?

  I don't care what he does to them. I won't marry PAPI, and that is my final decision.

  I had to run away but I was sad that I'd never see FREEN again. Just when I found a true friend whom I could be myself with, I am going to lose her.

  I went to FREEN'S house to see her one last time and as usual, she didn't want to see me.

  She just saw my arrogance and so I showed it to her. At least this way, she won't care that I'm gone for good.

  After seeing FREEN, I left to my secret hideout without going back home. My father has always underestimated me.

  He didn't care if I ran away because he thought he could find me anywhere on earth but he is forgetting that I am the daughter of a gangster too.

  I was only pretending to be shallow and I hoped it won't come to this. But now that I'm going against THE ALMIGHTY DRAGON HEAD, I needed my guys and connections.

  I went into hiding three days to my marriage right there in the city under my father's nose without him knowing.

  BECKY'S POV

  He did everything he could to find me but he couldn't find me. I knew about everything going on in the DRAGON'S BREATH because I had my people stationed there also.

  Soon, I heard that FREEN'S father had been fired from his job as one of my father's personal bodyguard.

  "He will survive and look for a better job." I thought to myself. Although I felt like my father was being merciful to him.

  He doesn't fire his workers. Especially those very close to him. He'd rather kill them than allow them go out there with his secrets.

  What is he playing at? Why did he fire FREEN'S father?

  That man is very dedicated to his work and never complained even as my bodyguard.

  What has he done to make my father so angry?

  Wait is that what he meant by "hurting everything and everyone I care about?"

  He is going after FREEN. He must have discovered that I care about her from my frequent visit to her home.

  I can't let this happen. I must device a means to get FREEN out of this danger.

  I decided to come out of hiding and go get FREEN but my father had placed spies everywhere around FREEN'S house.

  Of course, he knew that I'd figure it out and come to save FREEN and so he left people to abduct me on sight.

  No matter how hard I tried to get to FREEN, I couldn't. My men would be spotted if they get close to FREEN and that would lead back to me.

  So I stayed put and waited for an opportunity to get to her. But then, I heard that she was being arrested for my kidnap.

  This has gone beyond it. I can't hurt her because of my selfish desires of not getting married to PAPI.

  But even if I return home at this point, FREEN would still die. She is innocent but because I always visited her, my father thought she gave me the idea of running away from home.

  He thought we were friends and that she must know where I have been hiding.

  But FREEN is innocent. She must be really confused and scared. I must do something, anything to get her to safety.

  I became irrational in thinking. I wanted FREEN out of prison and so I call my contact at the police station to get her out but she refused to leave with a total stranger.

  I sent some of my men also and they told her that they were working for me but She wouldn't listen to them either.

  Over four times, I sent them but she kept on declining their help.

  If it continues like this, she will be dead without even knowing the war been fought and so I went to her myself.

  When she saw me, she walked up to me, wanting to slap me but she was stopped by one of my men.

  She must hate me thinking I caused everything. She's right though. It's all my fault but I didn't say that to her.

  "You have to leave right now FREEN." I said to her.

  Your life is in danger and I'm sure you know that too." I continued

  "Who are all these guys and why am I been blamed for your kidnap? What is going on Becky.

  Listen Becky, you better go home and clear up this mess right now" she demanded

  "These guys are with me and I've gotten to the point of no return. Even if I return home, you'll still die so just leave the country.

  FREEN, you have to leave right now. Get on the next train and stop three train stations from here.

  There, you'll see your new passport and other documents. you'll need to leave the country or my father will kill you sooner than later.

  He is a very impatient person and the moment he realises that getting you locked up didn't bring me back home, he will kill you. So you better leave right now." I said hoping that she'd listen

  "What do you mean by I should leave? you got me into this mess, you should go home and clear everything up.

  Why are you doing this? So you just want me to be on the run my entire life? What about my father, won't he be killed once I escape?" She inquired.

  "Your father's already waiting for you at the airport. I've also given the two of you new identities.

  I'm sorry that my frequent visitation to your house made my father think that you orchestrated my rebellion but if you stay, you'll definitely die."

  "Then just go back home and clear up everything." FREEN said trying to convince me

  "Don't make me laughing FREEN, do you really think anything will change if I return home?

  I know you're scared and hurting but please you have to leave."

  She was crying, rubbing her head with her hands and looking around so confused.

  She didn't know what to do but one thing she knew for sure was that, if she stayed, she will be dead.

  So this is the price that I had to pay for falling in love with her. I got her only to lose her.

  I'll never see her again and it hurt so bad. Worse than when my mother died.

  I don't like LOVE, it hurts so bad.

  I took her to the train station and personally bought her tickets and watch her gets on the train.

  I was drowning in tears inwardly but I couldn't cry out or I'd look weak to my men.

  I stood there and watched the train took off and FREEN with it. I painfully watched as she slowly vanished out of my horizon.

  FREEN'S POV

  Just as Becky said, my father was at the airport waiting for me.

  As soon as I got there, he gave me my passport but it wasn't my passport. It was a new passport.

  He also gave me other documents containing my new identity. When I open my passport, the name written inside was SAMANANANANTRAKUL.

  "Not bad for a new name" I thought to myself as I walked behind my father who was still very angry with me.

  Shortly after, we got on the plane and finally left the country to Malaysia.

  When we arrived at the Malaysian airport, we took a cab to our new home.

  Everything had been prepared and well arranged awaiting our arrival.

  It was a bit strange that my father knew just where we were supposed to go.

  He clearly knew what was going on, and I clearly didn't know what was happening.

  "Becky got us in trouble but why? What did we do wrong?

  Becky ran away from home so why are we being blamed for that? Did we kidnap her or did we advise her to run away?"

  I kept on asking myself all these questions but I got no answers.

  And whenever I asked my father about it, he just ignores me.

  But I kept on nagging and nagging him so he finally narrated everything to me.

  "What kind of relationship do you have with Becky, I mean, Miss Lawd?" He asked.

  "Nothing. Dad there's absolutely no relationship between Becky and I. We're not even friends.

  Dad? You know I don't like Becky. Whatever Becky must have said to make you doubtful of me, I promise you that it's a lie.

  I'm innocent dad. Please believe me. You know how much I dislike the LAWD family.

  I'll never want to have anything to do with that rude, arrogant and selfish daughter of the LAWD'S. I said making it well known to my father that I don't even consider Becky a friend.

  "But that's not what I saw that day at the cabin.

  Do you kiss and caress the body of people you hate?

  You two were practically consuming each other when I walked in. Are you telling me that you always behave that way with people you dislike and not consider friends?" He asked me trying to drive home his point.

  Then and there, I remembered what happened at the cabin.

  And I remembered that I didn't get a chance to explain it to my dad before he returned to work.
