He must have been holding what happened at the cabin against me since then.

  This is all Becky's fault. If I had time to talk to my dad, I would have cleared up the air about what happened at the cabin.

  But Becky was being selfish as usual. I really dislike Becky. I just want her out of my life for good.

  FREEN'S POV

  "Dad please hear me out. What you saw at the cabin was just a stupid mistake and it meant nothing.

  Becky was just fooling around and she got under my skin and I'm very happy that you came just in time to stop me from making the biggest mistake of my life.

  Daddy, please believe me when I tell you that there is nothing and I mean, absolutely nothing going on between Becky and I." I said to my dad.

  But his reaction didn't change. It was very clear that he knows that I was telling the truth.

  "FREEN, don't be dense. Of course I know that you didn't really like Becky in a romantic way.

  But that act with Becky back at the cabin is the reason why we are in this mess right now.

  Maybe it's not just that act alone. Maybe it's your behaviour towards her within that period at the cabin that caused everything we're going through right now."

  "I don't understand. What do you mean by my behaviour towards her, caused everything?" I asked in curiosity

  "Haven't you noticed anything different about Becky since you returned from that cabin?" He asked

  "I have. She has become a pain in my ass and a disturbance to me. Always coming to visit and...."

  "And always trying to capture your attention." He cuts in and continued.

  "The promotion I got was because she was trying to get you to notice her. She did it all for you.

  FREEN, is it clear to you now?" He asked again. Finally, I understood what he was saying.

  "Oh my goodness, she has been trying to make me like her. She has been trying to become my friend.

  That thought did come to me when she frequently visited. But I thought I was just reading too much meaning into things.

  So Becky was doing all that to become my friend." I said.

  "You're still naive Freen. Miss Lawd is not just trying to be your friend. Miss Lawd is in love with you.

  She has been trying to impress you. To make you look her way but you're really a hard nut to crack.

  Miss Lawd has been trying to be your girlfriend, your lover since the both of you returned home.

  I think she has been secretly wishing for it even back in the cabin. But has been too afraid to say it out.

  And while she was trying to build up a romantic relationship with you, THE DRAGON HEAD arranged for her to get married to the ruthless PAPI.

  She had to run away because she of you and because she didn't want to marry PAPI.

  Before she finally ran away, she always visited you. She wanted to see you and spend time with you but I guess you only saw the nuisance in her visitation.

  THE DRAGON HEAD thinking that the both of you are friends, tried using you to draw out Becky.

  She knew knew what THE DRAGON HEAD was doing but yet she went to meet you at the station because of her love for you.

  If THE DRAGON HEAD knew how Becky truly felt about you, you'd be dead already. He said as I sat down there in shock.

  When did this happen? Becky? In love with me? That's not possible,is it?

  When did she start developing feelings for me and what is this I'm hearing about her arranged marriage?

  So this was what she wanted to tell me when she visited but I always asked her to leave.

  She must have been really heartbroken and decided to run away from home to avoid marrying PAPI.

  PAPI is a very ruthless person. And how heartless can THE DRAGON HEAD be, to give Becky to PAPI as a lamb to be slaughtered.

  I'm a fool to not have noticed it earlier. I didn't see her pain.

  She trusted me to care but I failed her.

  Why was I so slow to read inbetween the lines. She risked her life for me but my pride was stopping me from seeing the Becky behind that rude and selfish mask.

  What will I do now? If only I can see Becky again, I'll make things right by her.

  I pray to see her again. Even for Just one last time, to tell her that I care.

  BECKY'S POV

  I have to go get FREEN from Malaysia. But what should I do?

  If she comes back home right now, my father would kill her.

  I needed to make the atmosphere favourable for FREEN'S return.

  I need to get PAPI out of the way. Should I assassinate him?

  No! I need to get him out of the picture without taking his life.

  And I have to be very smart about it so that it won't be traced back to me or my father.

  I tried so much to avoid this life but right now, I have to think like a drug lord.

  But it's all worth it since I'm doing it for Freen. For her, I'd do anything.

  I needed PAPI out of the way and since all local law enforcement agencies were corrupt, I called the I.D.I.B (International Drug Intelligence Bureau).

  If I attacked him directly, they'd might trace it back to me so I went for BRAKERS TRANSPORT COMPANY.

  THE BRAKERS transports 80% of the PAWA syndicate's hard drugs. So I tipped the I.D.I.B about a possible cocaine movement by BRAKERS TRANSPORT COMPANY and they were caught and arrested.

  With THE BRAKERS out of business, the PAWA syndicate became stranded. And instead of thinking smart, PAPI only thought big.

  His pride and arrogance got the better of him. He took some men and decided to do the supply himself. But the I.D.I.B caught him.

  He tried using money and connections to get out of his mess but the I.D.I.B can't be bought like the local police.

  PAPI went to prison and was sent to a fortified location where it was impossible to escape or to bribe.

  That solved my PAPI problem but my father still won't accept me. I had to do something to impress him so that he'll accept me and allow Freen return to Thailand and be safe also.

  Then the thought came to me.

  THE CROSS SYNDICATE. They're were the once that kidnap my father and wanted to wipe out THE DRAGON SYNDICATE.

  If I get them out of business, the LAWD might forgive me and accept me back.

  But even after everything I did to reduce the CROSS SYNDICATE to almost nothing, the LAWD still didn't want me.

  I called him but he asked his great hackers to try and pinpoint my location.

  I've lived with him my entire life so I know his moves even before he makes them.

  I stayed talking to him knowing fully well that his hackers are trying to find me but I had a better hackers and after all their efforts, the IP address was in THE DRAGON'S BREATH.

  Knowing fully well that I played them , my father said:

  "You're quite good, I'll give you that. Where did that unserious and burdensome daughter of mine go?

  You know every single move I make even before I make them.

  So you were just pretending not to care about the business, while you secretly studied and watched everything I did.

  Since when did you have a gang of your own? I know that you have people right here in THE DRAGON'S BREATH watching my every move.

  But you should know that the moment I fish them out, it will be your end."

  "What do you want me to do father? PAPI is in prison and I got rid of THE CROSS SYNDICATE. All for you but you still won't forgive me?

  What more should I do to prove myself to you?" I said in frustration.

  "Don't be funny Becky. You didn't do any of that for me. You already had a beef with the PAWA SYNDICATE.

  Sending PAPI to prison is just to prevent you from getting married to him and as for the CROSS SYNDICATE, they wanted to kill you so everything you did, you did for yourself and not me.

  You rebelled against me and because you wanted your opinion to stand over mine, you destroyed PAPI.

  I hate rebellion and you know what I do to rebellious people."

  "So you'll hurt me? your own blood and THE HEIR TO THE DRAGON?

  "Father please, let's put all of this behind us and move forward." I pleaded with him but it didn't change anything.

  "It's fine if you want to come back home. I'll welcome you with open arms." He said sarcastically

  He isn't going to listen. And the only way to get back on his good side and get Freen back home, is to do something really big that benefits him.

  YES!!! THE CORNELL OFFSHORE COMPANY.

  That is my ticket to bringing FREEN back home.

  BECKY'S POV

  The LAWD has been trying to use CORNELL SHIPPING LINE to trade internationally but they have always declined all of his offers.

  If I can get them to do business with him, it will increase his profit as well as the power of THE DRAGON SYNDICATE.

  But CORNELL PLC is not easy to get to. My father couldn't do it in over six years. What will I do to get them to comply with my demands.

  I have to think quick and think smart if I want Freen back home and keep her safe.

  "I'll get you the Cornell company contract but I have conditions." I said to him trying to make a deal.

  "Really? Cornell PLC? You can ask for anything you want if you get Cornell PLC to work with THE DRAGON."

  He said this in confidence that I'll never be able to do what he couldn't do in six years.

  But it was just about finding the right strategy. The LAWD tried sharing the profit from the sale with them.

  He even took a lower percentage but they refused. He also offered protection and other compromises but they still refused to do business with THE DRAGON.

  So the only strategy left, is to threaten them. Look for illegal dealings they had with people, and threaten to expose them. That way, they'll be forced to do business with THE DRAGON SYNDICATE.

  I have been building up my network the since I was twelve years old. So I had people in both the big, rich and powerful places and also the low and said-to-be insignificant places.

  It's easy to get people to do you biddings when you're THE HEIR TO THE DRAGON.

  Just promise to reward them bountifully when you finally ascend the throne, and they'll do as you've asked.

  Through my network, I got the dirt on CORNELL PLC and drafted out my approach.

  Within a week, CORNELL PLC called my father, THE DRAGON'S HEAD and accepted to do business with THE DRAGON SYNDICATE.

  THE DRAGON'S HEAD was really surprised. He wondered how I did in a week, what her couldn't do in years.

  But he underestimated me. It's surprising what you can do when everyone thinks less of you.

  I returned home even without calling him first and the moment he saw me, I hugged me.

  Now he's proud of me. Now he sees my worth. But he was the one who called me useless and good-for-nothing.

  "Can we discuss my conditions now?" I asked as soon as the guards and servants left us alone

  "Yes of course. I'm a man of my word. Ask me anything you want." He said while holding my hands being very proud of his daughter's achievements.

  "I want things to go back to the way they were before now.

  I want Freen and her father to return to the country and back to work as usual.

  They had nothing to do with me or my actions.

  THESE ARE MY CONDITIONS."

  "Really? You could have asked for anything but you only demanded that that servant returns home and safely?

  You must really like that friend of yours very much." He said trying to get information out of me.

  "She's not my friend. FREEN saved my life once and so, I'm just returning the favour.

  So should I trust you to keep your promise?" I asked

  "Yes of course. I'll do just that." He said in sincerity.

  Finally Freen can return home. And I'll get to see her again.

  The next day I went to Malaysia to get them myself.

  I wanted to tell her the good news myself and I wanted to see the happiness in her eyes.

  Wow, I'm really happy that FREEN is coming back home.

  I went to Malaysia to get FREEN.

  When I arrived at their doorstep, I knocked several times but no one responded.

  Maybe, they are just being cautious for security reasons. So I waited for about 10 minutes and knocked again. But still there was no reply.

  Then their neighbour came out of her apartment.

  "Sorry who are you looking for?" She asked.

  "SAMANANANANTRAKUL" I replied

  "SamananAnantrakul? Oh.. oh!! You mean Sam?"

  "Yes! I'm looking for sam." I replied

  Sorry but who are you?" She asked again

  Knowing that I can't tell her my real name, I said;

  "I'm Kornkamon. But you can call me Mon for short and I'm a friend of Sam."

  "Okay, it's nice to meet you Mon, but Sam's not home.

  But I promise, I'll tell Sam that her friend, Mon, stopped by." The neighbour assured me.

  But while we were still talking, FREEN and her father arrived and I broke the good news to them.

  Freen jumped up in excitement and hugged me.

  For a moment, it was just Freen and I in the world.

  How I've missed her touching me. The warmth in her skin made me feel at home. I just wish she would consider even just as a friend.

  That would make me very happy.

  But the future seemed bright since she's hugging me.

  We returned home and Freen's dad was reinstated as my bodyguard. This way, he'd lose the privilege of living in the DRAGON'S BREATH but he'll spend more time with Freen.

  I also stayed more at home so that he won't have to always leave her and escort me places.

  A week had past and I wanted to go back to the campus. I stopped for a while but now I wanted to go back to school.

  I already have the social knowledge in the business world but I also needed the educational, economical and scientifical knowledge from business school.

  Because I'd need it, if one day, I ascend the throne of the DRAGON. Or just to help my father out from time to time.

  By going to school, Freen's dad will have to go with me because he is my bodyguard but I didn't want him there with me.

  FREEN doesn't have a college degree yet, so if I convince my father to get her into the WELLINGTON GOLD UNIVERSITY in the pretext of her being my bodyguard, I'll always have her around me which will be a gain to me and she will get a college degree which will be again to her.

  At first my father refused, asking me to go with my original bodyguard. But having an older person following me around everywhere would be weird and so I insisted on having FREEN as my young bodyguard.

  "Father? I know that everybody in WELLINGTON GOLD UNIVERSITY has bodyguards but their bodyguards are Young.

  Why must mine be an older person?

  Father? I want to go with the daughter of my bodyguard. Make them accept her into WELLINGTON GOLD. I know that won't be a problem for you.

  "She isn't qualified to be your security detail , Becky." My father Insisted

  "really father? She protected me at the cabin for over a month. She's more than qualified to be my security detail." I pressured.

  After much conviction, he obliged and within the week FREEN got her acceptance letter.

  Although Freen had returned to her old habit of not liking me, I could see how happy she was to be going to the university.

  Especially to WELLINGTON GOLD UNIVERSITY, where only the royals and billionaires are accepted.

  I was actually more happy then Freen when she got her acceptance letter.

  Finally I will have Freen by my side everyday. It would be a dream come true for me.

  FREEN'S POV

  I screamed in excitement when I got admitted into WELLINGTON GOLD UNIVERSITY.

  And I'm really grateful to Becky but that didn't mean I'd bend to her will.

  Ialready know how Becky felt about me and even though I like her back, I shouldn't be dreaming about romance with a "LAWD"

  WELLINGTON GOLD UNIVERSITY is situated in phuket and when we got to campus, I decided to make Becky frustrated with me.

  When she gets frustrated, she'd hate me and the thought of romance with me, will be a thing of the past to her.

  She is a "LAWD", and wanted to reign in campus but I was against it.

  "If you want us to remain friends, be quiet and act like a common student of this school."

  I instructed and she obeyed me. Allowing me to boss her around as if I'm the boss and she's the bodyguard.

  And she beared everything. Which made me feel bad because I knew that she was holding back because of her feelings for me.
