Maybe someday, p.28
Maybe Someday,
p.28
“Of course it will. When have I ever been wrong?”
“Well, you were wrong about me bullying you.”
“Shut up.” Ash laughed. But she sobered almost instantly. Leaning in, Ash kissed Chris again, this time lingering in it. “But I do hope that someday the girls will get used to this. That they’ll learn to love you just like I have.”
“Keep on hoping, Ashton. Maybe someday it’ll happen.”
Thank you!
There is no way I would continue writing and publishing without wonderful readers like you. That’s just a fact at this point. Your support of small indie authors like me is immeasurable and astounding. I can’t thank you enough.
I never intended to write this book. That seems to be the case with a lot of my books. But so many people wanted to know more about Chris. When I was meeting the principal at my son’s school when he was in Kindergarten and I found out that she was almost my high school English teacher (ALMOST! She wasn’t!), I knew it was the perfect plot for a story.
And the perfect complication for Chris.
Maybe Someday was born for those struggling with addiction, those who haven’t quite gotten sober yet, and those who have. Those who have been affected by it. Addiction is no small matter, and it affects and infiltrates every aspect of our lives.
Thank you again for reading this book.
