Every story must come to an end at some point.
There were things she wished she could change.
Words she wished she had said.
But at some point, you have to move on.
You have to leave your regrets behind and start a new story.
For her, that time was now.

The clacking of her mechanical keyboard filled her late older brother’s childhood bedroom turned study.
Beautiful Daydream - Final Draft Final Final (For real this time)
She leaned back in her chair, arching her back and stretching her arms high above her head.
There was a certain relief in finality, compared to the uncertainty of something ongoing.
She spun her chair around to face the shelves of books, anime, and video games that filled one wall of the room.
In the years after her brother’s passing, she’d spent countless days lying on his bed.
Reading.
Watching.
Playing.
You’re obsessed.
So what if she was? It was better than being depressed.
Her goal wasn’t to escape.
She wanted to understand.
She wanted to know.
But you can never know.
Not everything.
But enough.
She sighed.
She should probably stop procrastinating and write that afterword too...
Every once in a while, I try to think back on my life. I think it’s an important exercise—it helps me recognize how much I’ve grown. How much I’ve learned. It can be tough, though, to remember all of the embarrassing memories. All of my mistakes and regrets. But those experiences shaped me into who I am today, and I can be proud of who I am now—even if I’m not as perfect as I would like to be. Maybe there was a different path I could have taken through life, a more pleasant one, but the past can’t be changed—you can only change the present.
Maybe my past can change your present.
Maybe his past can change your present.
That was my goal in writing this story.
That is my hope.
My wish.
That is what I Want.
